Overview The course Orientation on Technopreneurship (OoT) consists of two parts which can be followed together as well as independently from each other:
OoT-Business Planning (OoT-BP), which has an experiential, inside-out approach, focusing on business planning as a basis for starting a new, science-based company; and OoT-Entrepreneurial Management (OoT-EM), which has a more conceptual, outside-in approach, exploring entrepreneurship and the process of new venture creation by studying a number of cases illustrating the entrepreneurial process form various angles.
Each part has a course load of 5 EC, equivalent to 140 study hours. To allow participants to combine the course with regular day-time commitments, course sessions are mostly scheduled outside regular office hours. OoT-BP will start in January 2008. Next to individually scheduled feedback and coaching sessions, there will be monthly plenary sessions on Thursday, from 15.00 to about 19.30 hours. OoT-EM will start in February 2008 and last to the end of May. OOT-EM course sessions are on Monday evenings, from 19.00-22.00 hrs.
